The ship Tarrafal will begin a twice-weekly connection this Friday between Cape Verde’s two main cities, Praia and Mindelo. The route will include a stop once a week at the island of São Nicolau.

The Tarrafal will leave Praia on Wednesdays at 9:00 pm and Saturdays at 6:00 pm.

The return trip from Mindelo on the island of São Vicente will take place on Fridays at 6:00 pm and Tuesdays at noon, with a two-hour stop in Tarrafal, on the island of São Nicolau, where it will pick up passengers and cargo.

The 710-passenger Tarrfal will take approximately 12 hours ot make the direct connection between Praia and Mindelo.

One-way tickets between Praia and Mindelo cost 3,000 escudos, or 4,000 escudos for a reclining chair.
