ImageCape Verde plans to make use of Angola’s experience in the oil sector to drive its own industry, the archipelago’s Minsiter for the Economy, Growth and Competition, José Brito said in Luanda.

According to Angolan newspaper, Jornal de Angola, after a meeting with deputy to the prime minister, Aguinaldo Jaime, Brito said that bilateral cooperation would also take place in the Financial sphere as well as consolidation of relations in the private business sector.

Despite posting high levels of growth in the tourism sector, the minister said that cooperation with Angola could be an advantage to Cape Verde.

"We could develop investments for tourism facilities, to boost current growth levels of tourism in Angola and Cape Verde,” he said.

Jaime said that cooperation relations between the two countries on an economic and business level had to be increased.

"On an economic and business level there is still a lot to do, and a lot to explore and we shared views on how, on an institutional and corporate level, we can create mechanisms for boost cooperation,” he noted.
