TACV Cabo Verde Airlines is in about to unveil a series of new destinations. The Cape Verde-London route will begin being operated on October 29, while another route to Polish capital Warsaw will see its first flight on November 9. On November 5, TACV will land in Banjul, the capital of the Gambia, and Sierra Leonean capital Freetown. Meanwhile, the airline’s Lisbon-Bissau flights, with a stopover on the island of Sal, will begin on Sunday.

The Lisbon-Bissau flight, based on information gathered by A Semana Online, will be available beginning this Saturday, October 27, with departure from Lisbon scheduled for 12:50 pm. “There will be a one hour, fifteen minute stopover on the island of Sal to change aircrafts, as an ATR 72 will guarantee the leg between Sal and Bissau. This new offer from TACV will also allow passengers coming from Lisbon to spend a week on the island of Sal until the next flight to Bissau, or three days in Praia for those leaving from Bissau,” revealed a TACV source. The airline already operates a flight route to Bissau, leaving from Praia and with a stopover in Senegalese capital Dakar.

On October 29, according to António Socorro of TACV’s Marketing Department, TACV will begin operating flights between Cape Verde and London, followed by flights to Warsaw on November 9. Mondays will see flights from London to Praia, while on Thursdays the company will operate flights between London and Sal. Both flights will then continue on to Fortaleza, Brazil.

The same will be the case for the flights arriving from Warsaw. The flights arriving in Sal from the Polish capital on Fridays will also continue on to Fortaleza.

The objective of the new flight paths, according to Socorro, is to turn Sal into a hub for passengers and traffic from Europe on their way to Brazil. The same will be the case with the Bissau and Dakar flight paths.

Meanwhile, TACV’s third ATR 72 has already arrived in Cape Verde to reinforce the airline’s domestic and regional fleet.
