TAP Air Portugal will offer four weekly direct flights between Portuguese capital Lisbon and Cape Verdean capital Praia beginning October 28. The flights will take place Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and will depart from Lisbon at 9:50 pm. Praia is now TAP’s eighth destination in Africa, joining Sal, Bissau, Dakar, Johannesburg, Luanda, Maputo and São Tomé. The Praia route will bring the total number of TAP flights linking Portugal to Africa to 35 per week. This new destination will reinforce the existing air connections between the two countries. “TAP will continue to take advantage of every available opportunity to consolidate its presence in Africa, contributing towards the strengthening of economic relations between Portugal and various different African countries, as well as toward the strengthening of ties between their respective peoples,” reads a press release issued by the Portuguese flagship carrier.
