TACV Cabo Verde Airlines signed a code-share accord Friday with GIA - Gambia International Airways, that includes flights to Gambian capital Banjul and Freetown, in Sierra Leone.

The accord between the Cape Verdean flagship carrier and GIA will allow TACV to enter the market in several new African countries with direct flights.

The agreement will result in the establishment of Praia-Banjul-Praia and Banjul-Praia-Banjul flight routes, as well as code-share flights between Dakar and Banjul and Dakar and Freetown.
